Autumn dew on a Robinia leaf.
Dew is water in the form of droplets that appears on thin, exposed objects in the morning or evening. As the exposed surface cools by radiating its heat, atmospheric moisture condenses at a rate greater than that at which it can evaporate, resulting in the formation of water droplets.
When temperatures are low enough, dew takes the form of ice; this form is called frost.
Because dew is related to the temperature of surfaces, in late summer it is formed most easily on surfaces which are not warmed by conducted heat from deep ground, such as: grass, leaves, railings, car roofs, and bridges.
Dew should not be confused with guttation, which is the process by which plants release excess water from the tips of their leaves.

La rugiada è una precipitazione che compare sul suolo e sulla vegetazione; essa si forma di solito durante le notti calme e serene, quando il vapore acqueo contenuto nell'aria viene a contatto con superfici rese fresche dall'irraggiamento e quindi condensa in gocce d'acqua; la temperatura delle superfici non deve essere troppo bassa altrimenti il vapore si deposita come brina.
Nella stagione calda, la rugiada si forma per lo più su superfici che meno risentono del riscaldamento del terreno, come erba, foglie, tetti.
La rugiada non deve essere confusa con la guttazione, che è il processo con cui le piante espellono l'acqua in eccesso.

Fantastic use of light highlights the dew drops on this fallen Robinia leaf set in a nice composition with a larger leaf as most of the BG with its partially shaded greens.

Au risque de me répéter (voir critique précédente): aussi cette image a un aspect artistique très prononcé. En plus, elle est simplement superbe, spécialement à cause du jeu de lumière magnifique et la clarté de l'ensemble. thanks for your critique and thanks for the support I have been receiving from you.
this dew shot is very exciting as the lighted areas are on the dews itself. The rich green background make it so contrasting. Just looking forward for any Japanese friend to write a haiku about it, or an English lady to write a romantic poem on it.
