Humming Bird ?
 |

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
While staying at a villa in Tuscany we noticed what we though to be little Humming Birds propagation in a bunch of lavender out side of our room every morning. Not being quite sure was we asked our Italian hosts and they translated it as a Humming Bird. Because of the sound they made and the way they darted around a humming bird this is what we thought they were, until i finally got a photo. In the photo it did not look like a bird so we did a bit of research and found out that it is actual a moth, Hawk Moth to be exact. |

Hi Curtis,
yes, you are right, it's a hummingbird-moth.
I love these wonderful moths, they are so elegant.
Your shot is very good, excellent sharpness and the colours are like a water-painting.
Also nice light, very well done, thanks
