[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a closer detail of the sunrise captured on the island of Capri. The sun has risen into the clouds, creating a "warm" light over the Sorrento peninsula. I was up early a couple of mornings to view the sunrise, but this day was the best during the whole week. I think the clouds made all the difference - when I first saw the clouds, I thought they would ruin the sunrise, but I was very wrong!

Adjusting curves and sharpening - thats it :)

this shot uses two things..light and dark..and does it well..the intermediate tones are there to connect but not be too intimidating as atmospherics would..
thats it as you said

Hi Torbjorn,

This is a really effective dramatic mysterious shot, such a contrast of burning sky and shadow so dark you can barely make out the coast - and you're right, the clouds add a great extra dimension. I love it!

More like this please!

Hi Torbjorn,
Very stunning. The golden colors agains the dark island and clouds are captured beautifully. The layers of the mountains in the back a well captured and show a beautiful gradient color tone.

beautiful sunrise well caught.

veru nciely done.

Are you sure this is not PARADISE?
Your registry of this photo is so perfect that one can
"FEEL" the forth coming happiness of the day.
Regards from Canada.
