Hello Andrea,
the 'hummingbird' on your picture is the hawk moth
- Macroglossum stellatarum
- family: Sphingidae
There are many pictures of this moth at TN.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Andrea,
it's a beautiful hummingbird-moth.
You catched it very nice with the blue flower.
I also had some of them here already, I love them so much, they realy look like a tiny hummingbird.
Thanks for sharing
Sabine - wishnugaruda

Peter must be right in identifying this moth as Hummingbird, Andrea.
The subject is a bit too distant in this image and the focus on it is soft.
Nevertheless, this moth is a rarity and you have done a good job to capture its image.

Definitely a Hummingbird Hawk Moth (Macroglossum stellatarum). Lovely photo, though the moth is just a bit out of focus ... still, a nice composition and a nice capture. Been trying to get a photo of one myself, for ages, with no success. TFS

Hi Andrea - looks like a Humming-bird Hawk Moth to me. These moths fly during the day and are often mistaken for hummingbirds but are insects. You can see the long proboscis reaching into the flower (member of borage family perhaps lungwort)for nectar. You're lucky to have photographed one.

Grazie, ciao, Emanuele

Ciao Andrea, ottima foto d'azione.
Ciao.
Angelo
