[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ladybugs are a kind of beetle which is an insect. They are usually less than 1/4 in long (from 4-7 mm in length), and have oval bodies. The female ladybug is usually larger than the male. Most of them have red, orange, or yellow (wing covers) and black spots. Some are black with red spots and some ladybugs have no spots at all! The number of spots helps to identify the kind of ladybug.

Hello Rimantas,
What a neat shot of this beautiful ladybug. This is the type we have here in Ohio. We also have a few other types that are not native, but have been introduced. I love its bright color and fine detail you managed to capture. The dew soaked leaf or bud that it is perched on its awesome in itself. Great shot and quite eye catching!!
Ron
