First of all, welcome to TN!
You have made an impressive debut with a picture of a butterfly.
The picture is well composed with the subject on an ornate floral perch.
Still, if you would not mind a bit of suggestions for improvement, the picture requires a few enhancements through a photo editor.
I have tried a workshop on your picture using Photoshop CS3.
Hope you would not mind. Please have a look at it.
You are a gifted nature photographer and we hope to see many more pictures from you here on TN.

Hello Jeannine, and welcome to TN.
From your first post I can tell you appreciate the true beauty of nature. I believe this is the Painted Lady butterfly and what a pretty specimen she is. Nicely composed shot and your subject is in sharp focus. The flower is very pretty and makes a wonderful perch for your butterfly.
As Ram already stated, there are a few things that need a little tweaking to make it even more eye appealing. A tad more contrast will do wonders as you can clearly see in Ram's WS image.
Hope to see more posts from you in the future.
