I took this photo to embed in the preface of my new novel (to be published in October 2016) which happens to begin with these few words: ..."My name is Wind - October Wind, and I killed the red poppies"...

Hello Suzana,
fields of delicate red poppy in short blossom in spring are one of the greatest delights to see for me, too. A pioneer plant that would also grow even along the sides of dull motorways, and would be ruthlessly cut by lawn movers even when standing in blossom in spring. In central Europe, we hardly ever see them in October. Seeing an autum generation in blossom with their scarlet petals blown away by autumn winds might well be even more emotional.
