The Swallowtail (Papilio machaon), is a large butterfly of the Papilionidae family. The butterfly is also known as the Common Yellow Swallowtail and the Old World Swallowtail. It is considered as the representative species of the Swallowtail or Papilionidae family and is spread right across the Palearctic region in Europe and Asia.

Hi Martin,
This is quite an attractive composition with the colourful butterfly in combination with the bright reds and yellows from the blossoms of the plant, technically satisfying with the main subject being fully sharp and well focused. With a suitable frame you might have drawn justified attention to it.

Hi Martin,
Beautiful shot, with excellent detail and brilliant colour rendition. I find the red bloom on the right quite distracting because it tends to draw the eye from the main subject. IMMO, it would improve the composition of your otherwise excellent shot if you were to crop it out.
