This beautiful duet was founded in a deep grass near from pond (lake) in one of the public parks of Chisinau.

A lot of thanks for all your comments and especially for Paulo Henrique Lopes Rodrigues for identification.

CLASS: Insecta, ORDER: Lepidoptera, FAMILY: Hesperiidae

Skippers stand apart from other butterflies in several respects - they have a wide head; widely separated antennae which thicken gradually into the club-shaped ending characteristic of all butterflies; their caterpillars form a protective coccoon around themselves before pupating; and they rest with their wings apart, more like many moths. They are thought to be a more primitive group, and are sometimes split off from the true butterflies and put into a superfamily of their own (the Hesperioidea).

Hi Dan,
Very nice shot, good detail, nice framing and I like the panoramic format a lot. Beautiful warm soft light and colours, the shallow DOF serves well to highlight the Butterflies against that beautiful warm green background. Lovely shot.
