[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea) - one of the biggest European dragonflies just emerged form the larval shell. Note the pale colours characteristic for fresh specimens. They will become vivid and the body hard within ca. 30-60 minutes. During that time the dragonfly is soft and comltetely unable to defend or escape. This individual emerged on a log just near the mountain creek in the Biogradska Gora National Park (Bjelasica Mts) some 1000 m asl.

Fantastyczny moment. Ostatnio widzialem kilka takich 'schnacych' po przepoczwarzeniu w Ogrodzie Botanicznym, tylko innego gatunku. Bardzo wartosciowe zdjecie, nie tylko ladne, ale i o duzych walorach poznawczych.
