[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mantis religiosa caught this dragonfly on a rocky shore of the Skadar Lake, some 8 km from the Virpazar village. I was lucky to see the action and right after to photograph it. This picture was very difficult to take, it was exactly at noon and the rocks were snowy white, reflecting definitely too much light to avoid overexposition. The whole process of eating the prey was some 10 minutes. This is just the beginning phase...

what a capture, fantastic,
this is now what a good capture can be. Mostly it is a quick shot, with something you normal not find on other photo's. the composition is not good at all, but that no shame at all because where have you ever seen this scene. Well I see it for the first time, fantastic job.

What a superb moment to capture, not a perfect shot by any means, the DOF is really too short but even so it is clear what is happening. The dragonfly looks to be a Skimmer of some sort possibly a keeled skimmer whis has a narrow blue body like we see here. TFS still worth 2 points for the moment alone

Wow, this is superb catch Michal! Mantises scare me, they're perfect killing machines with alien look. This one had to be really big! Great moment, I hope you took more pictures of this scene.

COOL! Great capture! You made it work at a difficult angle and with difficult light! TFS! -Laurita
