fantastic capture of the pretty kingfisher! :-) sharpness, details and colors are really great, love the green blurred
background and the attractive lichen-covered branch. i have been waiting for something like this the last 25 years or so, i guess

Lately kingfisher appear on TN very rare. All the more this photo delight me. Nice light, splendid sharp and colours are admirable. The dry branch add charm to this composition.

Hi Jeroen. I must say this is a first class close up of this beautiful bird. I was able myself to get a fair shot of some this year . You have taken this what i belive to be a young bird with fine detail and sharp focusing. The white tip on the end of the bill shows it a young bird of this year. The colours are spot on. Very well done TFS.
