I think this tiny Fly (3mm) belongs to the Family Empididae (Dance Flies)

Kingdom Animalia (Animals)
Phylum Arthropoda (Arthropods)
Class Insecta (Insects)
Order Diptera (Flies)
No Taxon ("Orthorrhapha" (Brachycera excluding
Aschiza and Schizophora))
Superfamily Empidoidea
Family Empididae (Dance Flies)
dansvliegen (Empidae)

Hi Thijs,
Thanks for your kind words on my recent picture.
We have not been in touch for a long time, so thanks for re-establishing the links through your critique.
Your image of this very shapely winged insect is technically excellent and aesthetically rich.
Very fine composition with beautiful natural colours.
Best regards.
