hehehe! Funny title, but where is his hat? ;>
I just want to go to the cinema for the 3rd part of "Pirates" so this picture reminds me to book the tickets ;>
Sparrows are rather common birds in Lodz (I hope also in your city) but I like tham a lot. Averything started with one cartoon about Sparrow Cwirek (this is a Polish cartoon), very educational one :) This little bird presented (in the wild!) another bird species from Central Europe. Why am I writting about this cartoon? Well, the reason is very simple this sparrow, Jack or not a Jack ;>, presents some interesting details from birs life too. And once again I can write only one thing: BRAVO! :)
And of course many thanks for showing this image!

What a cute bird ! I love his pose and his look. details are sharp and clear, soft colors, excellent composition and wonderful frontal POV. The blurred BG also makes you subject stand out very nicely. Very well done !

Hi Anick

A cute little passerine you capture with great details - as sharp as can be. It seems like this sparrow is contemplating its next move. Does it fly away because of some perceived danger with this photographer invading its space or does it stick around and see just what's this guy going to do, because maybe, just maybe, there might be some reward in the way of a hand full of bread crumbs or seeds, etc.

The lighting control was excellent here as there are a number of rather bright areas that could have easily burnt out. The BG is well OOF and complimentary to the subject. The frontal and close-up POV produced a pleasant picture of this little bird.

Hi Annick,
Great capture!
I usually don't like the pictures of birds at the ground, but you didi it here with mastery.
It's very good the DOF used to blur the background in such effective way, and at the same time to get the bird totally focused.
A great side pose, beautiful feather's details and catch light.

A real masterpiece shot of a young House Sparrow taken from an excellent POV on the ground. Excellent sharpness, lighting and detail.
This could either be a Jack or a Jill, too young to tell.

You got a great POV and the bird doesn't seem afraid of you at all! Nice pale bg not distracting us from the bird!

This little bird is probably waiting her mom to come to feed him...
