[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Phylloscopus trochilus, autrement dit le Pouillot Fitis, est un oiseau que l'on confond très souvent avec le Pouillot Véloce.
La différence est très reconnaissable au chant, en effet le pouillot fitis a un chant en cascade tandis que le véloce a un chant beaucoup plus court d'où son nom anglais de Chiffchaff.
Il a également les pattes et le bec jaune-orangé et non pas noir comme le véloce.
Tout deux se nourrissent d'insectes qu'ils attrapent sur les brindilles et sous les feuilles plutôt qu'en vol.
Le pouillot véloce vole dans toute l'Europe de mars à octobre.
Le pouillot Fitis vole dans toute l'europe sauf le sud d'avril à septembre.

Hi Pat,
Wonderful shot of the warbler with sharp details and spot-on focus. The colours and lighting are great and I like the glint on its eye and the superb pose. Excellent POV to capture it in the natural habitat and very nicely composed. Kudos.
