[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Common and widespread. The flight period extends from mid May to the end of August. The Four-spotted Chaser is one of the commonest Dutch dragonflies. It is particularly common on sheltered lowland lakes and ponds. It can also be found on acid bogs breeding in very small pools. Adults are aggressive and very territorial.

Hello Ton,

Excellent capture of this dragonfly. Excellent POV, DOF and sharpness. Light and colours are great. I am waiting the end of the holidays here to be able to take pictures. Mijn dochter is niet geduldig genoeg :-)
Cheers,
Mariki

Aaah, such a perfect macro shot of a beautiful Chaser specimen from the best viewpoint to display its various structures sharply in focus Ton, the exposure is also perfect, showing the characteristic venation of the membraneous wings nicely.
