This lovely young boar was shot in the Lelystad Naturepark which my girlfriend and I discovered a few months ago. The park is fantastic and the animals live there semi-wild (i.e. they are put there by humans but live free in a restricted but huge area). This young boar decided to take a leak where he had put his snout before. :) I am sorry if this boar is centered too much ... What do you think?
Sus Scrofa - European Wild Boar, general information:

The body of the European wild hog is built somewhat like that of a bison, being higher and heavier in the shoulder region. It is covered with thin, coarse hair. Hogs are usually black, but the tips of the guard hairs are silvery-gray or brown. A mane of long bristles may develop down the back. The upper tusks are distinctive in that they curve upward as they grow. The average weight an adult male is 197 pounds (90 kg), while the average weight of an adult females is 147 pounds (67 kg) (Duncan, 1974).
Hit me where it hurts! Seriously; write what you think. I can use the lesson and I can really take the criticism. Your criticism is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Pieter,
A nice capture of this hog using the bog :-))
Very good sharp detail, maybe cropped a little too tight but I like it anyway!
A good song!Chumbawamba are from my town.

I like him a little muddy but that is hog heaven, this well cute baby is well seen a bit tight on the cropping but other wise very nice.TFS

You are a funny man Pieter,
Great title, unusual image. Well captured.
Thanks for posting.

I'm slowly getting there with a one liner!!

HAHA! Interesting pose you chose to capture! Nice done, though! Good work!

OK, Pieter, this looks like me after too many hours in the pub!

You are hilarious to post such a ridiculously disgusting photo! For this you get a big green smiley face!

P.S. That song was a one-hit wonder if there ever was one.

Hi, Pieter. You are a funny one! Great choice of subject for your shot, great title, great song to accompany the photo. The photo, by the way, is very well done, with sharp details, good exposure, and... disgusting composition... Hahaha! Thanks for a good laugh. : )

Hoi Pieter,

What a typical little kid :D playing in the mud, and peeing in it too, seems like it :D Great details, you can almost count the hair on the body. Compo is a bit tight in front, but otherwise still good. :D

Hello Pieter!
Wonderful capture.Details, framing and composition are perfect.TFS...:-)

If the photo doesn't get you the title does! I once read that pigs/hogs don't actually like living in a bog. I don't always believe what I read but, I can't understand any living thing wanting to live like these animals do. Good shot. A very private moment made very public! Nice job. Thanks.

Ha, ha, ha, what a pissing cutie Pieter! Great, great, great shot! Mud is great, pose is great, face is great - I like everything! And of course song from your note is also great ;-)

Wahta mess! and are you starting a fetish theme :)
I suppose this is how pig live, looks like my son's room.
Crystal clear image, the only thing I can see as a slight nit is the POV. Perhaps a squatting down (no pun intended) would have given you a better POV.

Pieter, I do enjoy this song. Within some moments I will take the CD and listen to it. I think it's funny and easygoing. Very nice.

I do enjoy your photo too. After all, nature is not made only of beautiful and colorful scenes.

Great pov, sharpness and composition.

Very good picture of this muddy pig, Pieter.
I think it's well composed. Good details and nice colours.
Very well done.

Hello Pieter!
very nice post.Details, colors and compositio are excellent.thanks for sharing.

I don't find the subject too centred. It's a nice cute pig.. taking a pee. :) Humorous yet and interesting subject. Great song! Well done.

Pieter, Here piggy-piggy! You just need to throw in another one and have yourself a mud-wrestling match! ;-) Well done!

I looked at this earlier today and it made me smile. We have a saying here in UK; "Happy as a pig in shit" for when one is very content :-). This photo illustrates that very well. He does look happy. Lovely shot Pieter. Thanks for posting.

HaHa!! I don't suppose he'd care whether his snout had gone in before or after he'd had his leak!! and I bet HIS mum won't come along and bother him with a baby wipe to clean up his face! Great shot Pieter...the positioning in a shot like this one matters not, I think... it's the humour that makes it a winner. TFS, Kind regards, Vicky

Wow! what a great photo Pieter!
Very sharp details, excellent Pov and lighting.
Very cute creature, I like the crop- I like the photo!

Thank you, I really enjoyed watching this.

I have always liked having my subjects centered like this. No exception here, Pieter, it works for me very well.
I might have cropped a little bit off the back, due to some discoloration in the clean mud, ;-D but life has different sides to it and not all are pretty.
Well done and thank you.

BTW, the frame works nicely too.

What a mess! My wive would love this photo, she's mad about pigs!
Nice detail. good composition and POV.

Hello Pieter!
Personal assessment of the photo: great.
Strong visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
My only nit is the odor ;-)
Thank you very much for sharing.
Have a good weekend in your corner of the word.

hello:) what a beauty little pig:) great POV :) I love this photo much:D

Too cute!
Wonderful little hog! The contrast is great...I have so much trouble getting a photo like this to work...when the colors are that close, I tend to bleed everything together.
The little piggie stands out in your shot!
