Very nice shot of a cute specimen. I like framing a lot. You have presented whole insect at a very nice pose and POV. Dry leaf is a great stage for this model and green BG created by nicely blurred a bit is looked very well too. My kind regards and best wishes.

This is a fine portrait of a female S. striolatum taken from a POV that shows the features with excellent sharpness and lighting. Pleasing composition on the dead leaf against a suitable neutral BG.

The slanting light coming from the left side of the subject gives this Darter a three-dimensional look, Marie.
I am amazed at the sharpness of this picture; the abdomen seen through one of the wings looks marvellous.
The colours are very natural and the fairly large perch does not distract the attention form the main subject.
