[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On an early cold winter mornig (-10 celcius). At some point my fingers got so cold I could just press the shutter and keep it pressed. But when you come home and you see the result it was all worth it

This male bearded tit was in a group and quite a poser, this is my favorite shot of that series. Unseen in this picture but actually it was ringed.

Hallo Jeroen,
Kan me niet meer herinneren dat het eerste kerstdag zo koud was. De atmosfeer in de foto is in elk geval warm. Een meesterwerk! Zowel technisch als in schoonheid niets op aan te merken. Misschien had de achtergrond nog iets vager gekund, maar daar staat zoveel kwaliteit tegenover. Erg mooi!

Oh my, quite a picture! Well worth the morning chill. The light and colors are so well balanced, with a nice gradient of cool to warm in the background matched by the birds own coloration.
