[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I realized when I arrived at this location that it has been over two years that I last visited this area. Back then it was just created and still had much of its farmland heritage left. Now two years later this nature area is back to it wild roots and it has become a most beautiful place to visit.

While waiting for some better light on an earlier captured tree I noticed that the clouds behind me were breaking up and that the sun would peak through it one more time. I swiftly took up a new position, framed the composition changed filters and waited for a good moment to make a photo.

This time I gave my new reverse grad a test. I have to say, I like what I see but I also realize that it needs some more testing.

Oddly enough, the photo looks much darker on TN then expected.

Hallo Niek,

Ciao Niek. Perfect space's management and facinating tones. Contrast and details are very good. Best compliments.

Hi Niek

Nice to see another post from you, my friend, and especially nice to see you testing that nice new reverse grad :)
It definitely looks like it worked very well here - in your hands and in these conditions. The positioning of the sun and general light in the frame definitely looked great for it here and i quite like the effect it gave - the transition of the light in the upper part looks absolutely terrific from my point of view.
I also like the general composition here - the 1/3 horizon, the position of the sun at about 1/3 of the length...very nice appliance of the riles :)
I'm only not sure about the big bush/tree on the left...i'm guessing you cut it since there were many, not just this single one.
Still, i think it looks very nice and it's definitely been a very successful test for your new filter.

Bravo and TFS

PS: i also took at look at your site and found out some more lovely shots. I liked the ones with the mentioned tree, too, but honestly i preferred the one you show here, but the version with more clouds on top. I think that's very dramatic and looks terrific! I know you don't mind me being true to my feelings :)
Have a great week!

Hallo Niek
How beautiful can nature be? This is so wonderful to look at and has a soothing and calming effect on the whole being. The assortment of colours in the photograph is marvellous, and the atmosphere captured overwhelming. I can almost hear the rustle of the reeds in the foreground and feel the tranquillity. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scenery. Best regards

Hello Niek
It's one of the most beautiful sunset shot i have ever seen,
the blue sky, the red clouds, the black shapes and the reflections in the water, all is perfect, thanks a lot
Have a good night

Lovely sunset image with water in the foreground, good use of your filter, actually you can deepen the blues of the sky bit more for more dramatic effect. tfs.

Hi Niek,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The distance between the trees and the opposit shore is giving depth to the scenery. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky and the water. I am wondering what is the action of a reverse grad filter. Have a nice day.
