Wow, this is close!
What an interesting bird with it's orange eye.
Excellent shot with brilliant colours and good sharpness. Have a happy New Year, bye

Very nice portrait of this wattled crane (Bugeranus caruncalatus). The details are very sharp and I can see every little bump at the base of his beak. The whites are a tad OE, but the orange eye is amazing. Well done and TFS. : )
Happy New Year to you, Kim. : )

Hello Kim!
Very nice portrait.POV,lighting, blurred BG,3D effect clear details and framimg are wonderful.

Great details and a perfect ornage eye that draws the eye in (where have I seen such a perfect eye again....). Very interesting portrait with loads of details to discover. Well exposed despite the rather dark background! Happy New Year

It certainly is wattled. Very interesting lookign bird. It's a nice portrait and the composition is good, perhaps a little burnt out on the whites but it's not too distracting, well done Kim.

Good exposure and detail in your profile Kim. Great color and DOF also. Perhaps a tiny bit of USM would improve the shot. Well done.
Thank You!
P.S. I did WS to tone down the Highlights just a tad. I'll post it tommorrow..
Just thought I'd warn ya! ;-)

Its a wattled crane or Grus carunculatus, its one of if not the rarest of all the cranes.

Hi Kim,
Great portrait with excellent detail and nice colour.

Hi Kim.
It's a nice picture you have caught, a bit bright but still nice.
I like the composition and the POV (Point Of View).
Howard did a good WS
Well done.

BTW, USM (UnSharpMask)is a sharpen-tool and you can find it under filter.

Hi Kim

Wonderful closeup. Shame some of the whites are OE, but it is always difficult to get it right. Lovely eye contact. Crsip, clear and sharp. Nice work. TFS.
