Hoi jacob,
Moeilijk te zeggen of het te scherp is. De structuur van de vleugel lijkt me iets te scherp, maar ik weet niet hoe de details er in werkelijkheid uit zien. De rest van de foto ziet er goed uit, met niet te veel verschil per pixel in donker en licht.
Verder een erg mooie foto, met een perfect achtergrond.

Looks OK to me, sharpening is a personal thing I think. If you think you've done enough, then you've probably done enough.

Wings look a bit extremely sharp but the body looks great. May be using differnet USM levels to different part would be better.
Anyway really good photo with DOF and composition.

Estéticamente y técnicamente una excelente captura Jacob, con detalles muy marcados tanto en la mariposa como en la flor.
Me encantan los intensos pero naturales colores, sobre un fondo bien difuso y un perfecto control de la iluminación.
El DOF permite un foco integral sobre toda la escena, con un encuadre vertical y centrado muy apropiado en este caso.

Aesthetically and technically an excellent capture Jacob, with very marked details as much in the butterfly as in the flower.
I love intense but natural colors, on a very diffuse bottom and a perfect control of the illumination.
DOF allows an integral focus on the whole scene, with a framing vertical and centered very appropriate in this case.

Ha jacob,

Ziet er voor mij nog goed genoeg uit,je zou voor het leuke dezelfde handelingen moeten herhalen,maar dan in lab modus (hiermee bedoel ik dat je de standaard rgb foto eerst omzet naar Lab kleuren,dan verscherp je met de zelfde handelingen in het zwart wit kanaal) na het verscherpen zet je de foto weer om in RGB kleuren,denk dat je wel verschillen zal waarnemen.

In my opinion, it looks great. The sharpnesss level is excellent and doesn't look over the limit at all :)
The POV is also great, the DOF is impecable and the colors are very lovely.
I also like the framing and the compo, with it on the top of that beautiful flower.

Hello Jacob,
my first impression looking at the butterfly before reading your text was that the hindwing area and the area of the forewing tip were sharpened too much. Upon closer looks on other parts of the butterfly, however, I could not find any further signs of over-sharpening. In particular, the antennae are not 'broken' often a sign of 'too much sharpness'. The orange-brown wing areas appear very smooth, just as they look in reality. The hinwing surface appears rather coarse and the delicate line patterns are only slightly visible.
