[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Travelling in Norway on the Hurtigruten, the continuous steamer service from Bergen in the south to Kirkenes just short of the Russian border, we only get to see ports. Some of the 'ports are in reality only villages with a sizeable wharf. Tromso is a bigger city with a University and a more cosmopolitan crowd than other ports we called at. A harbour however is a harbour and as such a site of rich pickings for these scavenging Herring Gulls (Larus Argentatus). Mum seems determined to have a break from scavenging but Junior has other ideas.

PS: I've just realised that this is another example of the benefit of Canon's Image Stabilisation - 1/40th at 135mm !! |

Peter, I love this shot.It is a nice scene. This time no details of an animal but communication between animals as a subject. Even the yellow tube adds to the shot as it illustrates the environment.
Good shot.
Greetings, Jan

Hi Peter,
Nice interaction here between these two. The yellw rail adds to the compo for me, Nice dof, and these guys are used to people, to get this close with a small zoom. Nice rust here for Yitzhak too.
