[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, sunrise, again you might say - but this one is different! I promise!
Hehe, well, I like sunrises, and, yes, every single one of them is unique. It is hard not to be fascinated by such fiery colours in the sky. It almost looks lige aurora borealis, but with a different colour. As the winter approaches now, I will try to to some aurora pictures. It is not too easy to capture, concidering you have to get someplace high with a good view, its dark, and usually very cold. But I shall do it!
With all the wisdom of hindsight, I dont think the frame is quite that good. I should have used a more subtle colour - the red is a little, well, I dont know, but not quite right anyway.

This photo was captured with 20-700mm telephoto at 116mm, 1/25s - handheld with IS.

Why not showing us your favourite subjects! And you're right, every new day, every sunrise and every sunset are different. Hi Torbjørn

Another very beautiful and moody shot from you!
You have achieved amazing result with your photos of sunrises and just as you said, every single one of them is unique. In Norways you have some awesome ones - a lot different than the ones we have here - mostly doe to the nordic latitude and i think that is also the cause of those fantastic colors. The contrast in the color temperatures here is terrific and i really like it: the firey sky and the very cold look of the mountains and the valley.
I also think that the mist in the FG is a great bonus to the composition and i'm also impressed with the general balance of the exposure here.
A very good result in terms of sharpness too, considerring the rather long shutter speed and the fact that it's handheld.

Hi Torbjorn,

Again a nice one. What I like here is the dark profile of the mountains in front of this nice sunrise in the BG. You can also see some low fog in the valley in front of the mountains. Nice composition, well taught. You have a steady hand. In my opinion, your frame is well chosen with the color of the sunrise in this picture. TFS.
