The snakelocks anemone (Anemonia viridis, formerly A. sulcata) is a sea anemone found in the eastern Atlantic ocean from Britain to the Mediterranean sea.

The tentacles of anemones in deep or murky water can be a grey colour but are otherwise usually a deep green colour with purple tips. This is due to the presence of symbiotic algae within the tentacles that use sunlight as an energy source. Since the anemones benefit from this they prefer brightly lit shallow waters.

Anemonia sulcata belonging to Cnidaria (=Ceoelenterata).

Taken from Polaria Aquarium, Tromso, Norway. The lights was from the auxiliary lamps, not so clear considering the glass between us.

Hi Bima, wonderful shot of this sea anemone with nice colours. TFS. Regards,

Selam Yasin, splendid shot of this anemone with excellent details in spite you used a relatively long POV (1/10) for a relatively mobile animal. TFS.

Hello Bima,
Very good job under poor conditions of light & aquarium glass.
Good DOF/detail and the anemone stands out well in your frame.

Hi Bima,
A very nice study capture of the anemone. The compositon shows its motion with the way the tentacles are waving.I gues this was a lit up underwater scenario that you captured. The image is quite sharp and with good focus and clarity.Very well done.
Thanks for sharing

This has come out really well Bima.
Its a little yellow due to the light, but quite sharp considering.
You did a good job.
Thankls for sharing.

Hello Bima,

Interesting pictue of this sea anemone. Excellent POV. Excellent sharpness. Beautiful composition and colours.

Hi Bima,
Even if there was a glass between You and the sea anemone, this is a wonderful shot, quite clear and sharp. Great exposure, too. The only thing I should change (or better said I changed in the WS) is white balance, because the yellow is too much to my taste. But otherwise a top composition, congrats and tfs.
Best regards, László

Hello Bima,
Not many of us have the chance to take underwater photographs, so an aquarium photo is sometimes necessary in order to show certain species, like this fine capture of a Snakelocks Anemone. It is sharply shown from a fine POV with good lighting.
TFS this unusual image,

Hello Bima !
Wow, this is a wonderful picture ! I love it ! The anemone looks gracious and elegant, and it stands out so nicely on the dark BG. Excellent details too, splendid composition and POV, and a very instructive note. Very well done !

Hi Bima, Good clear photo with excellent discriptive notes. These are not so easy to get a good composition such as this. TFS. Murray.

Yet another awesome shot,my friend!Did you go into the sea to click these wonderful shots?WOW!

Hi Bima.
Many thanks for visit and kind comments as well as for chance to meet your nice photos. I like excellent composition of the image, nice selection of the POV, perfect DOF and excellent details of the main subject and nice blurriness of the BG. I do not know if the colour palette and light are natural but they are so pleasant for look and nice. My best wishes and TFS.
