[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a little piece of the beautiful Lyngen Alps in northern Norway. Im uploading this picture from work computer w/o photoshop, so I havent gotten to adjusting the horizon or adding a frame. (I know.. the picture should be perfect even without computer manipulation, but it is as good as I could get it at that moment). Even so, I just couldnt wait to share this lovely piece of nature with you! As you can see, even in may there are still some chances of skiing, if you dont mind climbing with your skis on your back a bit. But, I think it would be worth it... dont you?
(For the record... I didnt ski down there... come on!)

By the way, the camera data shows that I shot this image on 1/4000sec and f/2.2, which is, Ill admit, a pretty weird setting for a landscape picture. It might seem that I left the settings for a portrait, but on the other hand, I was in a helicopter at the time of shooting, so the fast shutter speed eliminated some of the severe problems of vibration! I dont know what you think of the result..?

Have a nice day!

Hi Torbjorn,

WOW!!! Excellent landscape - i like it!!
Perfect all.

TFS :-)

Hello Torbjorn,

That is an amazing shot and some helicopter ride! Wow! I don't necessarily think that all properly exposed digital photos come from the camera ready to upload to TN. RAW photos are intended to be manipulated. JPG photos sometimes need to be and sometimes not. Sometimes it depends on the computer they are loaded onto. On one of my computers an image from a particular camera would upload fine and the same image on another computer would look washed out and need enhancing. And don't forget most of our film shots were enhanced either automatically by machine or individually by the better processing studios. There is a huge range of print possibilities from a film negative. Also there is a thin line between some photo filters used in the field and those used in post processing.

Thanks for sharing your amazing picture of a beautiful place.

Hei Torbjørn,
Great point of view of course, captured at just the right elevation!
Great mountain scenery with superb colours an details...
Composition works well, and giving a great feeling of depth!
Pablo -

Great shot from above. The pov from the helicopter is something that many of us do not get a chance to see. TFS!
