Hi!
Another picture in my autumn series from Troms, Norway. This is the Alappen mountain (1488m high) in the distance. The valley leading up to it is the Målselvdalen (Måls River Valley), a fertile valley located at about 69 degrees north. This valley was uninhabited until 250 years ago, when farmers from the south of Norway had problems finding enough land to live from. Many went to the USA to try the luck there (in fact almost 800,000 norwegians travelled to the states - which is a lot from a population of maybe 3 million at the time). Others decided to try their luck far to the north, where thay had heard rumors of unused land.
The daily life up here was tough with long hard winters and short summers, but the river valley was fertile and they managed to make a living out of it.
This history is also the reason why the dialect in this area is so uniquely different from the coastal dialects only 20 miles away. The dialect here is a mix of southern norwegian dialects with a little dash of northern dialects.

Anyway, post processing:

Adjusting levels and adding saturation
Burning mountain and clouds a little

Hi Torbjorn,

A beautiful panoramic landscape!
I like the way the clouds move slightly crossing over the mountain. Great colours and framing.
Thanks for sharing and for the good note too.

Greetings, Nel
