Hi folks!
Heres another picture from my mountain series. I didnt plan to do a series of mountain pictures, but the weather and surroundings has been so perfect for mtn photos - so you can say, its nature`s own fault.. hehe.
This is an image of the Mauken mountain in Troms. The mountain itself is 1249 meters high and it has a secondary peak which is almost as high.

History tells us that in 1941 a german bomber, probably based at Bardufoss, crashed 150 feet below the top of this mountain. The weather had been terrible and the pilot didn`t see the mountainside until they were to close to react - Some locals later found a service gun from one of the pilots, and brought it home. The german troops found it - and sent them to prisoner camps in Europe. (Source: Wikipedia)

Adjusting levels, a little burning, sharpening, resize and sharpen again.

Bellissima questa montagna. foto ben fatta. Ciao gigicaco

Hi Torbjorn,
Exellent mountain landscape.Well composed.TFS.

Hi Torbjorn,

No need to apologise for mountain shots like this, keep them coming! Beautiful photo, I like the simple composition and panoramic crop - and the bright colours and detail is superb. The clouds behind the mountain really add to the effect too.

And people don't believe shadows are actually blue - only need look at this shot for proof!

Nice work as always :-)

Hello Torbjorn,
Wonderful mountain capture, looks like a painting.POV,large DOF and framing are excellent.

Hi Torbjorn,
Great control over the exposure. The snow looks perfectly, and so does the sky and woods. I would have liked to see a LP version, because the scenery is really stunning.

Wow, what a stunning view! This is a wonderful snowcapped mountain. The blue sky is excellent and the polarizer worked very well. My guess is that you shot this picture in the later afternoon, am I correct? Very well done & TFS!

I really like the series on mountains. it is where my heart lies and when i'm at home, I pine for the mountains, so seeing your pictures is great. Another one very nicely done and well balanced.

A nice lager vrsion woudl have topped off an excelletn post.

This is a nice sharp image, Torbjorn. The exposure looks good to me as does the control of the polarizer. That is an odd double peak. Looks almost like a volcano from this angle.
