Warm winter sky

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
At last I can post a new picture here on TN. Work and travel has eaten up a lot of my time lately, but its good to take some pictures again!
At this time of year, especially in january, when the sun don`t come up at all, the "sunrise/set" (it goes from sunrise to sunset even before the sun gets above the horizon) is absolutely beautiful if you get a clear day like this. This is actually taken at 12:45pm when the day is at its brightest..!
I love the sky which looks on fire contrasting the cold snowy mountain. The mountain is of course one of my favourites, and probably my most photographed - Istind (Ice Peak)

Hi Torbjorn,
Great to see you posting again. I was wondering what he skies would look like that high up north during the winter. It must be great to have two golden hours connected. Great work on the composition and the exposure. The colors in the sky look magnificent.

Hello Torbjørn,
Dramatic sky well captured!
The photo light isn't always present, but when the opportunity occurs the effect can be great...

Hi Torbjorn
What a splendid sight!
This is quite an interesting and wierd phenomenon to me (having been used all my life with only one way of "daylight") - especially the part with the 12.45PM brightest point.
But it does have it's advantages and this photo is a clear statement! What a splendor!
The colros here are fascinating and the composition wonderful.
I like the way you integrated those mountains in the frame and the fact that you still kept good details and light on them, too.
The framing is very nice and the presentation, as well.
GREAT work!
Cheers and Happy 2007!

Hi Torbjorn,
A very beautiful landscape. I like your choice of the vertical framing to get so much of that great sky in there. Amazing colors and textures in those clouds. Looks great!
