Hi!
Here is another picture from the sunrise/set here above the arctic circle during the dark months of the winter. January 25th is the first day we see the sun again here, and that is just the top of the solar disk peaking up between the mountains for a few minutes before it dissapeares again. Of course this is celebrated each year with a return-of-the-sun-party where people dress up in hawaii shirts and shorts and celebrate (before they have to go home in the same outfit in -20C and snow, which is less fun)

Hello Torbjorn,
Wow ! what an impressive sky ! Light and clouds are powerful. The composition is smart with the snowcoverd mountains.
Well seen and well done.

Hi Torbjorn,
Very impressive colours for this sunset-sky. The decrescendo of the light from the montains to the clouds is very beautiful..I like this presentation a lot with the horizon drawn by the mountains in the back.
Best regards
Anne

Hi Torbjorn,
Another stunning photo with the amazing colered sky. I really love how the mountains seem to intersect with the sky. The sky could use a tad more contrast so that the colors will pop and the texture becomes more visable.

Niek

Hello Torbjorn.

Excellent burning sky above the forzen hills. Interesting contast of colours and themes.
It's always nice to look at the way you present Norway!
Best greetings,
Michal

Hi Torbjorn,

Like the picture before, you have captured well the sky. The colors and details of the clouds are beautifull. The lighting was good as we can also see some details of the mountains even if the sun is behind it.

PC :)

Missed this one as well becuase I was in Sweden...

Great sunset... I think this was the day we decided to visit Uppsala and I missed a stunning sunset, glad to see someone made use of it. The peaks are quite something and I think I woudl have liked just to see a fraction more of them and lost a little of the top of the sky that has less of the colour in it, but that is just my opinion....

anyhow, great picture and TFS

Hello Torbjorn,
Your entire sunset portfolio is very impressive. I like this one for the wide mountain range that's still not completely dark. The sky looks wonderful with orangish cloud formation that covers the frame. Well done.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Hola Torbjorn
Impresionante cielo en su ocaso, estupenda toma.

Hi Torbjorn,

Another beautiful shot! That sky is amazing, but just as good is your handling of the scene, no underxposure, retaining detail in the mountains - lovely :-)

By the way, I can't stop thinking that the little bright patch of sky right in the middle looks like a flying bird....

Hope you enjoyed your sun celebrations, bet there aren't any pictures from 25th Jan - or if there are they will be fuzzy!!

TFS,
Doug
