Northern Sunset 3
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Number 3 in the Northern Sunset-serie. I hpoe you havent grown tired of these pictures yet..!|
This is a photo taken towards the east. The mountain in the center is the Mt.Mauken. It reaches up to 1249m. It consists of a long ridge with two significant peaks along it. In the autumn months the areas around this mountain is very popular for hunting grouse. Work has already begun to build a big ski resort in the hills leading up to the mountain plateau in the left side of the image. Hopefully that wont disrupt the peaceful atmosphere as seen here! In this picture you can clearly see the blue tint in the shadows which is so common for arctic winters.

Simply a wonderful capture!
I like so much the mood, light and atmosphere that can be seen here.
It so good the way the remaining sun's rays illuminate the rightmost and tall part of the Mt. Mauken.
It's very interesting the effect of the blue tone that the artic has in shadows.
A great composition, so well presented.
Very interesting your note also.
Congratulations, thanks for share and best regards,
I like the soft color tones (blue, pink, purple) of this picture. The sun shinning the summit brings our eyes to the center. I like the light FG that is simple with this snowy ledge. Good clear DOF.
lovely shot of mountains,
lovely natural colours,
tfs & regards

And another of this series, again beautiful and calming and making me long to live in Norway...
Here's also hoping the ski resort won't ruin the place.
It looks like you had to climb a high mountain to take this photo. The FG snow does give that impression to me. It works like a kind of entrance to the vast open plains below and the warm colored mountain in the back. Again a superb exposed image.

Excellent light that created magical atmosphere. Nice details in both, the shadowed and light part of the shot!
Best greetings and TFS!
