Cotton-wool clouds is what I call them, the
marvelous cloud formations in the Norwegian summer sky. Here at the lake Storevatn, close to Hemsedal, you have a fantastic view on the mountain Skogshorn (1728m) in the distance.
I was really caught by this beautiful landscape along the so called Panorama-road around the mountain area Gollsfjellet.

Hi Ruud!

You have taken a wonderful landscape in excellent light conditions. I like the composition very much with the foreground that leads into the picture and that accentuates the depth. I also like the division of the picture with a large part allocated to the sky.

Just be ware of the exposure: your bright tones, here the whites in the clouds, are parially burnt! 255 or very close to it. When taking such a sky, measure the exposure on the bright clouds. Later you can brighten the darks.

Kind regards
Markus

hello Ruud,
Magnificent landscape again, taken from an excellent point of view. I like the great place left to the sky with it cotton-wool-like clouds.
Thanks for this beautiful picture
Anne

Hoi Ruud,
Groeten,
Niek

P.S. Here is a smiley face for you! I ran out of them & didn't know why until Nick & Richard helped me.

Hello Ruud,
This seems like a nice part of Buskerud, with a good view to the mountains over the lake!
Peaceful atmosphere and a pleasant reflection of the wonderful summer sky...
