The Tufted Saxifrage or Tuesildre in Norwegian, Saxifraga cespitosa in latin. Found this one in the mountains between Troms and Sweden, near the Rosta hut, around 700 m.

From Wikipedia:
"The Tufted Saxifrage (Saxifraga cespitosa) is a flower common all over the high arctic. It stretches further south in mountainous areas of the Alps, Norway, Iceland, Siberia and Alaska.
Densely tufted from a stout taproot. Stems very short with withered, dead leaves at the base. The leaves have 3-5 lobes, glandular-hairy like the leaves and calyx. Flowering stems 5-10 cm, 1 or 2 flowers per stem. Petals white, twice die length of die calyx lobes. Smaller specimens, with shorter stems and smaller, yellowish-greenish petals (var. uniflora) are rather frequent.
It grows on ledges and gravelly places."

Hello Jon,
A strong little survivor is well captured!
Sharp details in the close-up, and the good late summer light really brings out the finer nuances of colours...
Good point of view and a well composed presentation!
