[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Isterdalen in Norway is very stunning area with high mountains and rough nature all over. Dramatical and fantastic are the key words of nature between Valldal en Andalsnes. The mountains on this picture have names as Kongen (the King), Dronningen (the Queen) and Bispen (the Bishop). They all are impressive and command respect by mountain climbers.

They are like the Viking of the mountains, wild and beautiful, old and fantastic. I really like the pov in this picture that you used, entering the mountains through this natural highway of the kings... thank you, Ruud!

What a pleasure to see you back! And the picture is superb! It let's the heart of a mountaineer beat higher. I especially like the colour tones that suit the rough nature very well. Moreover, the point of view you have chosen creates a fine perspective and depth of view.

I am always fond of high country scenery above the tree line. I like your composition a lot with a peak to the distant mountains. Nice sharpness and use of the wide angle lens. Is the vignette effect intentional? It feels a bit dark in the corners.

Hoi Ruud,
Een erg bijzonder foto. Het lijkt net alsof dit een soort foto tussen kleur en zwart wit in is. Maar ook een beetje een HDR effect. Wat het ook is, het maakt de gehele foto erg bijzonder. De ruigheid van het landschap heb je bijzonder mooi weten vast te leggen. Je compositie met het torentje in de FG vind ik prachtig.
