[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In Leirdalen close to the mountain cabin Leirvassbu you are in the centre of the mighty world of Jotunheimen. In this part of the National Park the mountain Kyrkja (2.032 m),here on the right side, is dominating the view very much. It was in July, mid summer, and the weather was warm and friendly. However, in the mountains there was still a lot of snow and ice left. In Leirvatnet (vatnet = lake) there was floating ice all over and when the sun was coming through for a moment, the setting was like this.

Oh boy! I love this kind of landscape! Do you drive to these elevations or do you have to trek to them? I love the snow and ice patterns The inclusion of interesting fore, mid, and background elements is effective. I'm not sure about the polarizer effect though. It seems to have dulled the sky and the vignetted corners seem a little dark to me.

Hi Ruud

What a great picture, though a little dark in the corners, but I love the reflection and can truly understand why you took the photo. It is a beautiful landscape and you have shown the area well.

THose fantastic open spaces make me travel in time, because of the traces seen in the mountains, on the rocks at the foreground... this is a beautiful landscape, where one can breathe and feel the immensity. Thank you Ruud, I really appreciate your pictures,

Francine

Ha Ruud, toch weer een aantal prachtige plaatjes gepost, wat een indrukwekkend landschap. Mooi wijdsgezicht zo, prima balans, leuk te zien dat je nog met fotografie bezig bent.
