[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Showing no fear of the National Geographic Explorer, this polar bear gave us only a brief study as he walked along his ice island. The polar bear evolved from the brown bear who turned to the sea to hunt for seals 150 - 200,000 years ago. Feet turned inward and an aerodynamic shaped head help him swim while black skin helps him retain heat. Polar bears feast in the winter months when there is plenty of Arctic ice to stealthily hunt their favorite food, seals. Unfortunately, naturalists predict a 30% decline in the polar bear population over the next 30 years as sea ice recedes.

Hello Eloise,
Welcome to TN!
You make a very good start with this fine capture of a Svalbard Polar Bear taken from afine frontal POV with excellent sharpness and light management against the snow. I like the composition with the ice and snow too.
Thanks and I look forwars to seeing more shots from you on TN.

King Regards,

Hallo Eloise
Welcome to Trek Nature and thank you for sharing such a lovely image of an animal and surrounding that we see to little on the gallery. I just love the variation of whites in your image and the way it is so beautifully photographed not looking as if it has been washed out. I also like the direct eye contact this bear have with you and the clarity of the sharp nails on its paws. The sunlight in the image is just great and rounds of this already great image to its best. Best regards and I hope to see some more lovely images from your camera soon.

complimenti per le foto, molto belle realistiche e particolari.
grazie per il tuo contributo!
