It is a very different scenario, Niek. The hills in the background with snow on them dispel any assumption of this being a tropical beach. The sky too gives away the location as the polar circle. The calmness and serenity of this aspect of earth does not compare with anything else.
It is good to see you posting occasionally here on TN. Reminds of the older times.
Thanks and all the best!
As always your photography is superb, but here the incredible scene steals the show. Mind you if you had done such a fantastic job on the composition the beauty may have been lost. One small nit just above the seaweed you have what looks like dust on your pickup.
Always great work Niek.

impressive photo. I like connection between mountains and beach. Great point of view and depth of field. Amazing natural colours.
Have a nice week,

It is a shame I haven't yet visited Lofoten, as the seems like the rest of the world has..!
And of course the number of fantastic motifs are abundant up there, but still you have to know what you are doing to get good results...
Like here, a breathtaking composition indeed!

A very fine picture of a tropical beach in the North. Amazing! You have well chosen your vertical framing and the presence of the seaweed gives to the shot a litte accent and allows also a super depth of field (repoussoir).
Fine colors and sharpness as usual.

I don´t know why cold places some times seems like tropical ones... Maybe the glaciers and the tone of the icy water. I saw this picture and remembers some places of my home. And it also remembers the last photo exposition at the Ushuaia Mountain Cinema Festival, where I saw some pics of Norway... amazing.
About your pic, what captures me is that clouds goes by one side and the water by other, cross winds perhaps?
thanks for share this amazing pic and place.
have a nice week
