Fen frogs (Rana arvalis) during the copulation. Body of the frog fen is slender. He has the pointed face. On the body high dorsal pleats are visible about the light colouring, bank from the outside with black edge. Along the back a bright mark is running. Fundamental colouring the surface of the body is brown, changeable. In the nuptial period the whole body of males is becoming covered intensively with the blue, deep blue wilding trees. The bog frog is beginning active living in the March, but the mating in the end of this month or in April. The female is placing eggs amongst littoral plants. Transforming tadpoles is coming after the period of 50-120 days. After finishing the mating the bog frog is leading the land lifestyle. He/she is most often found in meadows, peat bogs, bogs, however he is avoiding strongly afforested places. He is never appearing among fields. The bog frog is common in entire lowland Poland. For her specimens coming from different surroundings of our country are demonstrating local big differences in colouration.

Milo widziec kolejnego Polaka na TN :) A jeszcze milej widziec, ze sa akie rejony kraju, gdzie juz wiosna przyszla i zaby moczarowe "ruszyly". Szczegolnie, ze za oknem znow snieg i niska temperatura.
Ciekawa, choc niezbyt dluga notka. Co do zdjecia to podoba mi sie uchwycony moment, jak sadze, samiec niedlugo potem zaczal "blizsze kontakty" z samica :) Zdjecie nie ma szumow (kolejny plus), robione bylo tez pewnie przy niezbyt dobrym - ale naturalnym - swietle.
Z drugiej strony mozna byloby lekko popracowac nad punktem widzenia (moze bardiej z gory? albo wrecz dla odmiany bardziej "plaski", z poziomu lustra wody?). Tak czy inaczej, ciekawy start z TN! :)
