Pear-shaped puffball Lycoperdon pyriforme, very common fungus growing on dead wood.
Young sporocarps are edible (only when immature and white inside) and quite good, I've tried it a few times. |

Hello Michal,
A nicely composed image of this little group of puffballs. Very good detail and just the right exposure. I like the natural colors and wonderful DOF in this fine image.
I usually take a lot of fungi photos during the summer and fall months, but this year they just seemed to elude my camera.
