First from my 'golden' serie. I was walking in The Garden just after heavy rain. It stopped raining, sky turned blue and sun started to shine again. It was around 18:30 PM. I 'harvested' molluscs by my cam - hundreds of slugs and snails travelling after the rain in high humidity of air. I walked with my eyes on ground and suddenly something very small jumped from under my feet. It was frog. A golden frog in sunset. It was quite small - as big as my thumbnail. It was funny moment - I thought - wow, I've never seen before such amazing in colours and small frog, I'm lucky. I started to take photos and suddenly realised that I'm surrounded by dozens of similiar animals ;-) Poof! Happy second ended :-) Or maybe not - happy second turned to even more happy half of hour ;-) I took many photos of these beautifull amphibians but I think best was first photo with golden frog - my first one.

I tried to find ID but without success, maybe my friends from TN could help?

Hi Greg

He is lovely. Looks like he has tink gold nuggets attached to his body. He blends into the BG which is a wee bit unfortunate, but it is a great shot. Crisp, clear and tack sharp. Thanks.

Superb shot Greg!
It really looks as if it was made of gold. Really good POV and composition.
As for the ID. This could be young toad -I'm not sure at all, but last year at this time at my pond I saw many of such tiny creatures that were leaving water to start their lives on the land.

Hi Greg, good shot of the golden frog. He's quite camouflaged by the earth around him, and being that small you were lucky you didn't stand on any. The light from the setting sun makes him even more golden. Nice one!

Hello Greg, superbe grenouille dorée avec un mimétisme remarquable. Le léger bruit de fond du BG mériterait d'être enlevé. Félicitations Didier..

Hi Greg, it looks like a baby Toad to me, they often have a golden tinge and the size of the legs and feet are also toadlike. They tend to walk around rather than hop and so their legs and feet aren't as developed as a frogs. Well done, nice work.
