[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've discovered perfect place for taking dragon and damselfly pictures. It is in The Garden. Small pond lays just on border of forest, with connection to larger pond. Place patroled frequently by different kinds of insects. This picture was taken when I saw this pond for first time.

Four-spotted chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata) ?

This dragonfly gets its name form the four dark spots present at the midpoint of the front of each of its four wings. Unusually for this family, males and females are much alike in appearance; the basic colouration is dark honey-brown, with a paler scalloped edge to both sides of the abdomen. The tip of the abdomen is black. Some members of the family Libellula tend to have fatter abdomens than other Odonata species. Several other male species in the family have noticeably blue upper sides to the abdomen, especially the broad-bodied chaser Libellula depressa.

Hey Greg. The dragonflies are flying always away from me. ; -) No chance :-( Your picture is as usual sharp and colours are very beautiful. Excellent work. Thanks.

Hi Greg,

This is a nice shot. Composition, with the diagonal lines, is great. Details are good and colors are nice. I have only one nit; the stick is a bit too bright imo and therefore it distracts my attention from the main subject. And maybe the crop in the top is a little too tight. DOF is really good. Well done & TFS!

Hi Greg!
Perfect macro.Details are sharp and clear.I liked lighting and composition very much. Thanks for posting.

Great shot Greg!
Details on the dfly are razor sharp, colours and light very good.
I like the composition, but I have feeling that there should be a bit more space on the top.
Anyway, I like it very much.

Hi Greg, very good shot of the dragon. Great details, Dof and pov. As for the composition, the left wing part seem to be a bit tight IMO. Some more space would be great.
Well done.

Hi Greg, the ID is correct. Nice shot and a slighttly unusual view. The details are excellent and the BG is good. You did well not to OE the perch. I would like a little room on the top, above the wing to balance it a bit but apart from that it's a great shot. Well done.

Excellent capture Greg,
Very good sharp detail, DOF is perfect, and the colours are superb. Nicely exposed and very well composed. I have to agree with Pieter about the framing being to tight at the top. Other than that, this is a wonderful capture.
Thanks for posting.

Very nice shot Greg. Incredible use of f:3,2 to get almost every part of the bug into focus. Crop is a bit tight on the top for my personal taste. For the rest, a great image. Regards, Felipe.
