[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today was very important day for me. After long time gates of Lodz Botanic Garden are opened again! This is sign that spring starts 'officially'. I had got day free from work and of course went to The Garden. Spring is very late this year - almost all is still dark brown after long winter. I founded few species of flowers, bugs and snails. But most important thing is that better days are on horizon. I walked for good four hours and returned home very happy. It was like meeting with an old friend ;-)

Little quiz - what is on my photo? I found this 'tropical' flower today in The Garden.

Witaj Grzeg,

Absolutely beautiful macro. Fantastic sharpness, colors, exposure and neat background. Although I don't know what it is on the pic. Maybe a coral which You have just stolen from The Garden. :) Oh Grzeg, on the opening day... :)

A bit less in "1st of April style": bombastic shot, a gorgeous image to be proud of. Bravo.

Thanks a lot for Your latest critique and telling the UFO-story. I personally experienced the same - fear of abduction almost always when it was dark etc. You suggested a movie to me, but I have enough stupid books about this topic at home if I'd like to fear again. :(

I didn't check out Your personal website in the last few days, but if You need any help in grzyby, don't hesitate to let me know.

Tfs, friendly regards, László (Wladek, Leslie etc.)

Hello Greg,
I'm also happy that the spring came eventually. As for the "tropical" flower I think this is Common Butterbur (Petasites hybridus). In Polish: Lepieznik rozowy. One of my favourite plants overgrowing the stream edges in the mountains. Am I right? What is the prize ;-)
All the best and thanks for sharing this wonderful flower!

Hy Greg
I agree with Michal, is one of the inflorescence of petasites, which flower very early, ussualy bofre the growing leaves.
Perfect details!
