This time something from the archives. I took this shot last year at the coast of Baltic Sea. I want to dedicate this photo to Ivan (Argus). I hope you like it ;-)

Plebejus argus
Wingspan: 25-28mm
Caterpillars host plants: Calluna vulgaris, Lotus corniculatus, Coronilla varia.
Habitat: forest edges, clearings, moors
Distribution: Europe, Asia in temperate climate zone
Similar species: P. idas, P. argyrognomon

Hi Krzysztof. I am sure Ivan will love this first class picture .I like the way it stands out from the our focused BG. The heather pant with its pick flowers along with the butterfly has such natural looking colours and first class detail. Well taken TFS.

Hej,
dosc ciekawe ujecie. Motyl w cieniu i tlo w sloncu. Wydawaloby sie, ze tlo bedzie zupelnie odwracac uwage od motyle. Na szczescie udalo Ci sie (albo aparatowi :-)) dobrze wywazyc ekzpozycje i wszystko ladnie zagralo.

The light is difficult, but well used, the POV is lovely ... and the background is worthy of a first prize of the contest! What background !.... Some purists might say that the cut is too square and that the composition reduces the visual impact. But I find that the picture is nice as it is! congratulations, good job! Sincerely, Jesús
