Great detail captured in the facial area of this lovely insect, especially the eye and the hairiness around the face is beautifully seen. I like the not so familiar view point and the way you captured it looking straight at you. Congratulations on a great end result. All the time you spend practising was well worth the effort. Wonderful angle on this shot - perspective is such that you caught him in the act. Detail combined with depth of field gives it a little mystery too. The flowers look a little blown out by the sun, but not sure that could be helped much. You did great with the conditions you were in!
