Thid picture was taken in Krakow's ZOO. It's situated in Wolski's Forest a few kilometers from city centre. You can reach the ZOO in 20 minutes e.g. by city bus.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is the most widespread species of the flamingo family. It is found in parts of Africa, southern Asia (coastal regions of Pakistan and India), and southern Europe (including Spain, Sardinia, Albania, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, and the Camargue region of France). Some populations are short distance migrants, and records north of the breeding range are relatively frequent; however, given the species' popularity in captivity whether these are truly wild individuals is a matter of some debate. A single bird was seen on North Keeling Island (Cocos (Keeling) Islands) in 1988. Greater Flamingo is the state bird of Gujarat, India.
This is the largest species of flamingo, averaging 110150 cm (4360 in) tall and weighing 24 kg (4.48.8 lbs). The largest male flamingoes have been recorded at up to 187 cm (74 in) tall and 4.5 kg (10 lbs). It is closely related to the American Flamingo and Chilean Flamingo, with which it has sometimes been considered conspecific, but that treatment is now widely seen (e.g., by the American and British Ornithologists' Union) as incorrect and based on a lack of evidence.
Like all flamingos, this species lays a single chalky-white egg on a mud mound.
Most of the plumage is pinkish-white, but the wing coverts are red and the primary and secondary flight feathers are black.
The bill is pink with a restricted black tip, and the legs are entirely pink. The call is a goose-like honking.

Best regards

Hello my friend Maciej! I do not like that photo here for the flowing reasons:
1. The image of the flamingo in the foreground is very tight in this frame. I personally prefer to see a bit more space around.
2. The bird in the background is included in the focus field of the bird in front and the feeling for near and distant has been lost here.
The white balance looks fine I think and I love your notes as usually!
Regards,
George Veltchev

Hallo Maciej.
Pozdrawiam Siggi

hello Maciej

Stunning Flamingo. Wondeerful pink colors and nice focus on its big eye. I am not so much on pictures from zoos but this is nicest Flamingo I have seen in a while. Have a fine day.

Hello Maciej, a good image with very good details. Too bad the lack of sun that would make this picture a masterpiece. All the best, Paul

Hello Maciek

Excellent close-up photo of the Greater Flamingo
i love the vertical (appropriate to the bird) framing
but i agree with George i would love to see
more space in front of the bird even if the
bird would be a little bit smaller on the image,
focus sharpness and details are excellent, TFS

Hi Maciej,

The flamingos are well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the pink flamingos. the morning light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
