Augustow Forest. This is probably the fungi of the genus Gymnopilus. Amazingly it is that they grew up in the middle of December. Years ago at this time of severe frost reigned here, and it was a lot of snow.
Last year I met them in mid-November. This year in December we have the aura of spring. The climate varies much.

Witaj Lucja,

Not surprised you found this bunch in December... it's Flammulina velutipes (Curtis) Singer, a very typical winter mushroom! Easy to identify from the slimy, brown-ish orange cap, creamy to white gills and velvety stem, which is yellow when young, black-ish brown when aged. Growing from November to March, always in conditions below 12 Celsius, bearing a few degrees of frost, too. Edible.

Nice compo and exposure. Probably the photo got just a touch more of blue tone than the optimal (white balance), and the grey canvas isn't my cup of tea either - otherwise nice job. Tfs.

Best regards, László

Hello Lucja,
An attractive presentation of these colorful mushrooms. It's nice to see you were able to find them this late in the year in such good shape. Our mushrooms have all but disappeared since the weather has turned cold. Love the fine detail and natural colors you were able to capture. Well done!!

I like the polished shine of this mushroom, Lucja. Nicely focusing exposing very nice details.
Thanks you and have a wonderful new year to you.
