Hi Arlindo,

great shot head-on of this giant beetle. Thanks to the covered sky you did not have to bother with the reflexions caused by sunlight and flash. You have a great DOF!

The oil beetle (Meloidae) is the "Aceitera" in spanish, BerberomeloŽ majalis or Red striped oil beetle. It occurs only on the Iberian peninsula and in Northern Africa. You have a "First" on TN here, Arlindo!
