Hello John,
From the looks of your photo you had a gorgeous day there in Portugal. The shags were taking full advantage of the sun as they basked in its rays. The lighting was quite harsh yet you did a good job of controlling the exposure. It would have been more eye appealing if the posts on each end were not in the frame, but sometimes we have to take the shot when the opportunity presents itself.
