[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Borecole larva, at least nicknamed thus for the common sense…! Popular name, for what I obtained select next to the agriculturists, very probably is about of the position of the known small white butterfly - Pieris rapae, this larva is sufficiently colored and very attractive to the birds.
In what it says respect to the photographic technique, I continue to privilege the DOF, I have found the compositions combined with focus points and other unfocus ones very interesting...

My best regards,

Hi Joao,
I like this pic. The shallow DOf gives it indeed a kind of artistic work out. Often we try to registrate what we see. This picks just a paret of it and gives a complete different look on thed reality.
Well done,

Hi Joao

Wow, what a spectacular display of reflective light. Very creative and well captured.

Again I couldn’t help to notice that a smaller aperture might have turned this into an even better photo. Since this caterpillar is not going to run away at any great pace, it was the ideal shot to set up with a tripod and push the limits on the DOF. A setting of f/8+ and obviously a much reduced shutter speed would have made a mega impact on this shot.
Anyway, this does not mean the photo is not good or that I do not like it. To the contrary, I like it loads, but I merely think it could have been a stunning shot with the changes I mentioned.

The composition is great, the colours are rich, and the BG is perfect.

Well done and TFS.
