since the very first moment of creation , water has shaped the land and continents...this isolated rock, set apart from the mainland and subject to the wild forces of the waves reminds me the ever present interplay of teluric forces!

portuguese coast , near cape Roca (westernmost point of european mainland)

I used a ND8 cokin filter to slow down shutter speed to 0.5" at f/22
canon 30D Sigma 28-300

Hi Pedro.
Very romantic note and title of your conceptual picture. I like your POV so much as well as the concentric waves, which underlines your thought about first moment of creation. Your technique is very expressive and artistic. Thank you very much. My best wishes, dear Pedro.

Hi Pedro,
Somehow I am really drawn to this photo. The beautiful effect of the slow shutter speed and all the action of the waves make me look at this photo for a long time. Colors and light are wonderful. I might have tried to make the shadow on the rocks a tad softer.

Ola Pedro
The relentless energy of water will grind down the mightiest rock into fine sand! It as awsome to observe this power!

Your photo reminds me of a place called Cape Split which protrudes into the Bay of Fundy...

I like the idea that this point which you present to us here is CLOSER to ME than any other of the European mainland!!!

WE are practically neighbours eh!

Shot: very expressive; compo excellent! Sharp where it needs to be sharp, and at the same time expression motion in the blurr of the waters. Beautiful colours. Tfs, obrigado, Jay.

Magnífica imagen Pedro. El mar agitado y la roca firme. Detalles magníficos.
Un saludo, JL.

Have spent a long time watching this mesmerizing photo.
GREAT WORK. Congratulations.
Abraco do amigo sincero, M.
